While we are still developing and improving things, YES, definitely. We have successfully refined structures in EMAN2 to 6-8 A resolution

YES, definitely. We have successfully refined structures in EMAN2 to 4-5 A resolution
from scratch, using EMAN2's new CTF correction scheme. The new initial model generation method has sucessfully produced correct structures
for ribosomes, GroEL, mm-cpn (closed), Ca++ release channel, and several other structures. While we naturally are continuing to make improvements,
it is now reliable for single-model refinements to high resolution.

Q: Can I use EMAN2 to run 3-D refinements yet ?
