Currently for EMAN2 refinements, these are the recommended choices:

 * ctfw.auto - (recommended) CTF corrected average with Wiener filtration. Note that the ''wiener_fourier'' [[EMAN2/Modular/Reconstructors|reconstructor]] is aware of any 2-D filtration, and will properly handle class-averages made with this option.
 * ctf.auto - CTF corrected average without Wiener filtration
 * mean - a simple average with no CTF amplitude correction
