Creating an account
Account creation is a two step process.
1. Apply for new account
2. Administrator approves account
New accounts are put in a "new user queue" until they have been approved by an administrator. This is to prevent spammers or other unauthorized users from creating accounts and taking advantage of any default permissions levels. If the email subsystem is configured, users will be informed of their account request status by email at each step.
Users may give a reason for their account request, e.g. which projects they would like to access. This message will be included in the request. Most contact information fields, with the exception of website and fax no., are mandatory and must be complete before an account request will be generated. Passwords must be at least 6 characters long.
