EMEN2 Ontologies
EMEN2 organizes experimental data and definitions using a series of ontologies -- Parameters for experimental parameters, Protocols for experiment/record types, and Records for instances. In OBO jargon, the "Parameter" ontology defines "TERMS," with the "Protocol" defining "TYPEDEFS". Records are "INSTANCES" based on an defined typedef and values for each term.
The parameter/protocol ontologies for Cryo-EM developed at the NCMI will be made published at some point in the near future, or on an individual basis upon request.
